Jesse A Carper

Jesse A. Carper went to play music with his heavenly father Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the age of 26. Jesse was born August 1, 1988 in Salem VA. He grew up with an instrument in his hand and managed to put it down long enough to play his favorite sports, football and baseball. Jesse is a 5th generation musician in the family, who had many friends and never met a stranger. Jesse participated in alot of activities for such a young age with his music. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and a special musician and singer that touched many hearts throughout the United States. He will be greatly missed and we hope that he has encouraged many young people to carry on his legacy. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Curtis Sr. and Mary Mills, and Edith Carper; great grandparents Lawrence & Bernice Bostic and Roy and Bea Carper. He is survived by his parents Steve Jr. and Donna Carper; grandfather Steve Carper Sr.; girlfriend Brianna Herman; godparents Tim and Clara Leftwich; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, bluegrass friends and musky fishing friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, April 3, 2015 at Grace Baptist Church with Pastors Danny Kesler and Kevin Altizer officiating. Interment will follow at Huffman Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Grace Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Craig Co.
