Jesse Cates

Jesse W. Cates , age 85, of Henderson, Kentucky died at 4:50AM . Saturday October 11, 2008 at his home with his loving Grandson In Law at his side. He was preceded in death by his Wife Bessie M. Cates in 1999, a Grandson Christopher L. Osborne in 1983, his Parents, Brother, and Sisters. He retired after 30 years service form L& N Railroad. He loved fishing and riding his scooter. He always had a great story to tell and was also a practical joker who played many jokes on family and friends during his life and didn't mind being on the receiving end. He also, loved to eat at the Eastgate Restaurant. He was also a US Army Veteran of WWII, member to the Amercian Lefion Warsham Post #40 and was also a Kentucky Colonel. Cates will be conducted at 2:00PM Wednesday October 14 at Tapp Funeral Home, Henderson, Kentucky. Reverend Hollis Marshall will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Henderson, Kentucky. Friends may call from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Monday October 13 and 9:00AM until service time on Tuesday October 14 at Tapp Funeral Home, Henderson, Kentucky.
