Not sure what to say?

Jesse and I performed with the Birmingham Heritage Band combo and recorded Tuxedo Junction together. I am honored to have known him and to have called him my friend. May God watch over you all.

Jesse was my dear friend and colleague at WERC Radio in the 1970's. His distinct voice spoke to a level of sophistication and worldliness that made him one of a kind.
In breaking the color barrier, Jesse gave our mostly White radio station some much needed diversity, as well as maturity. He will be missed.

To the Family my condolences to you

Family and Friends of Jesse,
My sympathy and prayers are with you. Jesse and I worked together for a lot of years, starting in 1976, and I can hear his distinctive "rolling R's" in my mind's ear right now. He was an original, a multi-talented barrier breaking journalist who will be missed.
