Jesse Collins, age 77, of Marvell, died Friday March 28, 2014 at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven, MS. He was born January 17, 1937 in Ellard, MS, the son of Elmer and Nannie Collins. Jesse was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marvell and a retired banker and farmer.
Jesse is survived by his wife; Rosemary Collins of Marvell, two daughters; Camille Collins of Siloam Springs, AR and Phyllis Storey (Curtis) of Marvell. Three brothers; Noel Collins (Mary), Vernon Collins (Grace), and Scott Collins (Rita) all of Bruce, MS, three sisters; Jeanette Anderson of Memphis, TN, Betty Jo Peaks (Pete) of Gulfport, MS, and Mattye Ruth of Bruce, MS, five grandchildren; Sarah Camille Akin, Tucker Allen Akin, Elaine Storey Case (Blake), Reed Collins Storey and Ronald Coleman Storey, two great grandchildren; Sally Elaine Case and Russell Blake Case.

Pallbearers: Tucker Akin, Blake Case, Garrett Raskett, Coleman Storey, Curtis Storey, and Reed Storey.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Marvell, Marvell Academy, or Concord Cemetery in Concord, MS.

A memorial service for Jesse will be 10:00 a.m. Monday March 31, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Marvell with Bro. Bob Harper and Bro. Marcus Rogers officiating. Burial will be 4:00 p.m. Monday at Concord Cemetery in Concord, MS.
