Not sure what to say?

First, I want to start by saying I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner. Second, he was my teacher at south Kearns elementary. There is a story I'd like to share. It's long. I'm not sure why I was thinking about him today, but back then we were in the process of moving out of Kearns and he offered let me live with them until the school year was over, my mother declined the offer, even though i wanted to do it. I think he had suspicions of my living conditions even back then, I didn't realize that...

I wish I had seen this in 2009 because Mr. Coombs was one of the greatest educators I ever had in my life. I had the pleasure and privilege the know Mr. Coombs back in the mid 70s. He wasn't my class teacher, but I was in his chorus for 2 years and he directed our school plays. I will never forget how he arranged for us little South Kearns kids to watch a Mormon Tabernacle Choir practice. We even sang Battle Hymn of the Republic for them in 4 part harmony and received a standing ovation. ...

Mr. Coombs was my 5th grade teacher many years ago at West Kearns Elementary. He was an inspiration in my life and was one of the reasons I chose teaching as my profession. He always made school fun and gave me many firsts in my life.. my first motorcycle ride, first airplane ride and so much more. He was truly a wonderful man and a great caring teacher.

To the Coombs family,
We were privileged to have helped you care for Jesse. We were blessed to have met this wonderful man who was appreciative of all that was given to him. He truly blessed all around him. May you all be comforted at this time with the memories you share.
With love,
Your friends at Inspiration Hospice

Dear Coombs family, you are in my prayers. Brother Coombs was my fifth grade teacher at South Kearns Elementary School 27 years ago. He was my favorite teacher, he connected with us kids so well! I remember the fishing trip that he took us on after school got out for the summer if we didn't miss a day during the school year. Talk about above and beyond! That was my first time fishing and I loved it. I've often thought about him and wondered how he was. I can't wait to meet him on the...

We will miss Jesse in our ward. One of the most friendly men I have ever met. I remember when he would speak of LaVon it was always, "My Bride". How sweet is that. When I was choir director I could always count of Jesse to be there no matter where or what time the practice was. We just lost our son in Afghanistan 3 weeks ago so, I hope he will say hi to Kimble from us. May your family be comforted and have peace at this time of loss.
Warm Regards, Lisa and Paul Barnes

" We will greatly miss Brother Coombs' jokes, kind smile, and beautiful songs he freely shared with all those around him. We pray that Sister Coombs and all the family will be comforted during this very difficult loss. "

To the Coombs family,
What a great blessing it has been to know Jesse Coombs and to feel of his love for life, people, his family and the gospel of Jesus Christ. He brought much happiness to our family when we lived in Pocatello, Idaho with his fun songs and piano playing. We extend our love to LaVon, JesAnn and her family. Your dear father and husband is doing much better now and will "ligh"up the heavens with his radiant smile, genuine love and happiness. We are sure he is having a...
