Jesse Leon Crawford

Jesse Leon Crawford, Sr. (“Jet”) was born August 13, 1961, to Willie Clyde Crawford and Sarah Bell Jones. He attended Greensboro High School, graduating in the Class of 1979.

After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged shortly afterward. He worked as a wharf supervisor for 26 years at Quincy Farms. In his spare time, he loved fishing with his kids, grandchildren, brother Charlie, and favorite nephew Almanzo Price.

Jesse leaves to cherish his precious memories, his Daughters: Jessica Crawford (Corwin Brown, Sr.) and Christina Crawford-Donald (Javarrien Donald); Grandchildren: Demetria “Minnie” Green, Jaidyn “Jai” Garcia, Jedericka “Deri” Pearson, Jordyn Garcia, Iviyonna “Lil Jay” Donald, Iniyah “Lil Tina” Donald, and Corwin “FatBoi” Brown, Jr.; a Great-Grandchild: Jaeuni “Lil Red” Collins; Sisters: Sarah Powell and Dorothy Crawford; Brothers: Charlie Jones and Freddie Jones; a Special Friend: Jackie Brown. He leaves many friends, but he considers these as family: Sharron Brown, Alvin Beaman, Jr., Larkeith Bostick, Woodrow Pride, Jeremy Britt, Dexter Christian, Kerrie Beaman, Darlene Williams, Ty’Marcus Wilson, Nakita Smith, and Contoyia Tillman.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, son, brother, and niece.
