Jesse Bolt Crenshaw, 93, of Greer, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at his home.

Born in Pendleton, a son of the late Albert Hamilton and Nevada Black Crenshaw, he retired as a buyer for Homelite Division of Textron after twenty-five years. Mr. Crenshaw was a veteran of World War II having served with the US Army. He was a faithful member of Faith United Methodist Church, and was a member of American Legion Post 0115 in Greer and a member of Woodmen of the World.

Surviving are his wife of seventy years, Lavenia Nalley Crenshaw of the home; three daughters, Diane C. Trussell (Griff) of Lehigh Acres, FL, Donna C. Cox (David) of Palm Harbor, FL, and Nancy C. Edwards of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Donnie Edwards (Megan) of Jacksonville, FL, Brian H. Edwards of Jacksonville, FL, and Aaron Cox (Lynn) of Holiday, FL, two beautiful great-granddaughters Reese and Quinn and one darling four month old great-grandson Evan. In addition to his parents, Mr. Crenshaw was predeceased by four brothers, Lemuel, Vernon, Charles, and Clyas Lee Crenshaw, by four sisters, Louise McNeely, Nancy Smith, Mary Evelyn Crenshaw and Annie Ruth Perry, and by a son-in-law, Donald H. Edwards, Jr.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday at Faith United Methodist Church with Reverend Jim Patterson and Mr. Donald W. Nalley officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery in Easley.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Monday at the church, prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 1301 South Main Street, Greer, SC 29651 or to the Cemetery Fund of Fairview United Methodist Church, c/o Rev. Dan Mason, 200 East Church Road, Easley, SC 29642.

The family is at the residence.

Lavenia and family. So very sorry to hear about Jess. I am visiting Teresa & Hannah in Fl. and so sorry that I won't be able to come to Greer. Jess was a good and funny guy. I will always have fond memories of him.....no one made peacan pies like him! Love to God's comfort to you Lavenia
