Your genius was only preceded by your kindness, and both saved my life on more than one occasion. Here´s to your loving soul; may it rest in eternal peace. You are so very missed!

Dr. Jesse was a one in a million!! He would never give up on figuring out my Husband´s diagnosis. Told Him He could not retire till He figured it out, which of course He did do! As everyone is saying there was no one that can compare to Him.I hope He got to enjoy some of His retirement, HE TRULY DESERVED IT! I thank Him for His friendship & the way He truly cared about His patients. I just get very sad every time I think about the loss of such a special person, may You rest in peace. Prayers...

Just wondering if he got that elevator installed in his house. He spoke of doing it often before retiring. Rest in peace Doctor.

As a nurse at Borgess for 32 years I chose Dr. Duranceau as primary care physician for my dear mother in her later years. He was so knowledgeable, kind and a great listener to his patients. He showed such empathy and compassion, especially to the senior population. We enjoyed listening to his stories about his life outside of medicine and welcomed his ready smile as he listened to us. Kind, gentle, affirming and approachable. His spirit can not be matched in today´s healthcare...

I send loving memories to all of Jesse's family. I first worked with him as an ICU Nurse at Borgess. A wonderful doc and fun to be around. Then when I needed a PCP I went to him. We still joked and enjoyed each other's humor. I am so sad to hear of his passing, and I'll never forget him.
