Not sure what to say?

Dear Nell and Family,

It has been several years since we have seen Earl, and are saddened by his passing, but will always remember the good times we had with him and what a great person he was.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this great loss. All our sympathy. With Love

It's impossible to put the full spirit of Uncle Earl into words. He was a kind man who always kept Sara, Andy, and me in the family loop. What a great man to share a birthday with. A person couldn't keep from smiling when talking to him. Sorry to have missed the memorial (...I was out of town.) Am sending ya'll a great big hug. Hope to see you soon. Love, Beth

To Nell and Gay,
We have all
lost a great friend.

Aunt Sis and Gaye, we love you and we will always remember that he loved us all, as we loved him. Tim and I will always remember the good times we had with him. Sorry we weren't there with you but we hold you dear in our hearts. We love you very much. Love, Sherry & Tim (Lynchburg, Virginia)

Gaye,
So sorry to hear of your father's passing. The flood of memories from those Powhatan Park & BQ pool days are to many to name and some of my fondest. "Hot Dog" made our little corner of the world a better (and more fun) place to live. Your entire family will be in my prayers

"He was a gregarious and friendly man, who never met a stranger and always brought his particular brand of humor to any conversation". Nothing could describe Earl any better. It was interesting to me that he was equally the same friend to me as he was to my dad. Early years Nell and Earl helped me with extending my water skiing skills, my first deep water start was behind his boat, on Diascund Creek near Charlie Suttle's house. Years later at NASA we had many great times. One particular...

Dear Nell, Gayenell, and All Who Loved Earl,

I was sorry to hear of Earl's passing and know he will be greatly missed by so many people whose lives he touched. I wish I could be there today; however, we're on a mission trip to Marion, VA and won't return until Sunday. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

The obituary was so beautifully written, I'm assuming by you Nell; you always were such a good writer and the picture was just sooo Earl--that...
