Woodfin Funeral Chapel - Murfreesboro Obituary

Jesse Clark Hardaway, age 44 of Nashville, Tennessee, died Thursday, October 28, 2021. He was a native of Nashville and a son of the late R.E. Hardaway, III and Melissa Jane “Janie” Hardaway of Nashville, who survives him. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Rev. Dr. James Andrew “Rock” Hardaway.


In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Wendy Hardaway; beloved daughter, Jade “Izzy” Hardaway of Nashville; a brother, Elliott Hardaway and wife Jenny of Fairfax, VA; paternal grandmother, Nancy Bridges Hardaway of Nashville; and maternal grandparents, Boyde and Patricia Jones of Ashland City; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other loving family.


Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00pm Monday, November 1, 2021, at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.


In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made in memory of Jesse to Community Care Fellowship, a ministry co-founded by Jesse’s grandfather, Rock Hardaway, 511 South 8th Street, Nashville, TN 37206. An online guestbook is available for the Hardaway family at www.woodfinchapel.com.
