I taught at Hampton Roads Academy for 11 years. I was the varsity baseball coach for one year and during that year he was very helpful for being the head coach was way over my head. He offered advice in a truly caring way. He was a total gentleman, well respected and liked by all. I did not know of his passing until now (June 24, 2019). My sincere indolences to Todd and the rest of the Kersey family.

My sincere condolences. He was a terrific individual and an excellent basketball official.

I HAVE JSUT LEARNED OF HIS PASSING. I AM SAD AND WANT TO EXPRESS ME HEART FELT CONDOLENCES TO ALL HIS FAMILY. EVEN THOUGH I KNEW HIM CASUALLY, HE WAS ALWAYS A GENTLEMAN AND DISPLAYED MUCH CLASS AND DIGNITY.

I KNEW HIM THROUGH OFFICIATING AND THROUGH HIS SON, BRYAN. HE TAUGHT ME THIS SIMPLE PHASE THAT I HAVE USED WITH THE DISCIPLINE AND ART HE TAUGHT ME IN OFFICIATING,

To the Kersey Family, Know that you all are in our prayers for comfort and healing. Jess, I always considered a great friend even though I did not see him often. Hi Mrs.Kersey
Just found out today, that my dear friend when home to be with the Lord. My prayers are with you. He touch every person he met in a positive way, such a loving spirit and soul. I will miss my basketball talks with him, and the hugs, he always bestowed upon me.
