Not sure what to say?

Would like to talk with a family member
of Jesse. I believe that I am a distant relative. My grand father was Lige Lankford. I have a First Communion prayerbook that belonged to Jessie Sr.
My mother Rosemary Ann Lankford-Hambrick was Lige's daughter. My name is Claudette Hambrick Horne and I live in Spring. My telephone number is (832) 656-4942.

We were old friends,so sorry to see such a great man gone.
Songs in heaven

Learned about his passing some years ago through a co=worker at Auto Parts Store in Tomball,Tx. Moved to Houston in 1965 fresh out of the Air Force. While in the military came across a lot of entertainers, such as Gene Pitney, the Righeous Brothers as well as others that sang in the Base Service Clubs, so up on going to work in Houston started to search for this type of entertainment, and stumbled upon Jesse, Dean Scott, Bobby Bradshaw at Dome Shadows, Vans as well as Gene Watson, Roy Head...

I am so sorry to hear of Jessie's passing. He had a voice like no other, and was a friend. I haven't seen him since he had the Bike Shop in Pasadena. His nephew, Scott also went to school with my son and played ball with Scott. Scott adored his Uncle Jessie. I thank him for the great memories, and will see him again in heaven.

Just learned of Jesse's passing......I bought every one of my cars from him for the past 19 years. He was the best!

So many memories of Jesse and his amazing voice...I loved his rendition of Bridge Over Troubled Water. I have a couple of treasured 45's. So sorry to learn of his passing.
RIP dear friend.

Terribly sad to hear this - this man is a part of many memories of good times and good friends - RIP Jesse - my prayers are with you and your family.

I worked with Jesse for years. At Vans Ballroom, The Castaways, The Bawanna in South Houston. With The Royal Sounds , and Houston Natural Gass. I was the Bass player and he would constantly come over to me and give me harmony parts to sing. What fun that was. I ran into Jesse one day on the 610 loop and we pulled over and talked a long time. He wanted to get the old band back together and he was to call me when he was ready. I too have a CD of him at van's there are about 8 songs on it with...
