A couple of times a month I think of something I want to run by Jesse. And he is... not there. For me, Jesse was characterized by constant growth and change. I can only imagine how he would have been transformed in the past 365. And how we would have been transformed by him. I am sure I will continue to think of things to run by him. So, in a way, he IS here.

I am absolutely shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of someone I really respected. Someone I looked up to and had the honour of being in contact with! Jesse, you were the most intelligent person I ever had the privilege to know, and the world truly has lost one of its brightest minds!

The world lost a dedicated peacebuilder and I lost a dear friend. Grateful for the years I got to learn and laugh with you. You will be truly missed.

In many ways Jesse was exceptional. Not only was he one of the most knowledgable expert on issues of CVE and due to his personal life journey was able to draw on very unique knowledge and experience, he was also a man full of energy and inspiration and a great friend. It is unbelievable that he had to leave us so soon. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this very difficult time! If there is any positive aspect in this sad time, it is that Jesse has done so much...
