Carolyn, I am sorry for the grief you and your family must feel at the loss of your Father. But the eternal truth is, if you know where he is then he is not lost....only apart and then only for a season. He sounds like a wonderful, caring man. You and your family have been richly blessed.

I came to know Jesse from visits at his home in Cypress of Raleigh. I will remember him fondly as a real gentleman with a broad smile. The last time I saw him he was kind enough to show me his mineral collection and he shared many great stories with me about how he came to collect them. It was very obvious he loved to talk about his children and grandchildren; they were a big part of his stories to me. Jesse left a wonderful impression on me as I am sure he does everyone.
