Not sure what to say?

So sad to hear of Brother Jesse's passing. A great man and pastor who I have missed seeing the past several years. Hoped I would see him again but I won't forget he was a great pastor who shared great stories and messages and so much more with us there at New Hope. Stephanie Bone Silvers

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

Poochie growing up he was a example of striving to do your best. A group of boys were blessed by him and how to live your life.

What a JOY to have known Jessie and his family since childhood. He is a beautiful example of life well lived.

I was fortunate enough to meet and get to know Reverend Shackelford (Jesse as we knew him) while we both were working at Boy Scout Camp Arrowhead in Clanton, Alabama. One cannot forget his character, demeanor, and conduct which were beyond reproach. My prayers and thoughts are with his family. Love to all.

Remember Jesse fondly from Jonesboro Methodist Church. My parents were the youth teachers and directors so Jesse was often at our house for Fireside. He was a fine person. I often think of the Shackleford Family. My condolences to you.

Prayers for all of Jesse´s family. My beloved husband, Paul and Jesse were raised together in Jonesboro, remained lifelong friends and fellow servants in Christ calling. For many years, they met regularly for coffee sharing memories and ministries. Blessings on all who belong to this fine man of God.

God made Jesse unique & very special. Occasionally someone will pass through your path in life whom you will never forget & Jesse was one. He had a Christ-like character of compassion, honesty, love for all humankind & a close, saving relationship with his Heavenly Father. He leaves a strong Christian legacy behind to his family & friends.

I am thankful for all of the memories I have of Jesse's time among us. May God richly bless all of you as Jesse starts his new jogging program.
