Almost two years later and I still don't understand this. I hadn't seen Jessica in years, but it haunts me that she is no longer here and that I will never see her again in person. We grew up together. When I think of Jessica, I picture a little girl - always wanting to play. I miss her and think of her family often.

Canyon and I just learned of Jessica's passing. Our prayers are with you all. Jessica was one of the most loveable young ladies at Purnell and was a great friend to Canyon. When I remember Jessica, I will recall her bright smile, her upbeat, positive attitude, and the love she left shared - it was a treasure beyond measure.

Dearest Rita and Paul,
We just learned of this tragedy yesterday from the Purnell Post. We're devastated that we weren't able to offer you our thoughts and prayers at the time this happened. You have them now. Marti has so many lovely memories of being roommates with Jess at Purnell and of the wonderful trip to Hawaii that you shared with her.

I just found out the devistating news. There just are no words.. Jessica and I met at girl scout camp when we were 11. We were inseperable but lost touch during high school. I have so many beautiful memories that I will cherish. She was the most amazing friend and she will live in my memory forever. My heart truly goes out to Mr. and Mrs. Boumans and Rita, I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

My mother tought Jessica at Winston School in NJ and just told me what had happened in October. She told me that Jessica was the hardest working student that she ever tought.
