CLOSED-WHITESIDE FAMILY MORTUARY Obituary

Jessica Lynn Brick born March 22, 1989, passed away on December 31, 2011. The daughter of Bonnie Brick (deceased) and Hugh Jacobson, Jessica was born and lived most of her life in Centralia, WA. She was a graduate of Centralia High School (2007), and the University of Oregon (2010), with a degree in Anthropology. Recently, Jessica had registered for classes in Nursing. In high school, Jessica was active in volleyball, tennis, and cheerleading. She was interested in travel, photography, music, animals, and helping others. Jessica's radiant smile was contagious and could light an entire room. Her family, co-workers, and innumerable friends will always remember her smile. No one was a stranger to Jessica for very long. She was outgoing, open, and warm; those who were fortunate to be close to her were dearly loved and remain truly blessed. After graduating from college, Jessica and her partner, Adam Amato, spent five months traveling the country in a VW Van with their dog, Juno. They visited all contiguous 48 states, gaining new friends and experiences. Jessica was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Brick, grandfather, Robert Jacobson, and her aunt Vikki Jacobson. She is survived by her father, Hugh Jacobson, brothers Robert Jacobson and Michael Martin, sister Tammy Brick, nieces Ashley and Madison Baker, step-sisters Stephanie and Karley Martin, step-brother Brandon Martin, grandparents Joyce and Max Bonagofsky, and Eunice and Knute Halvorson, aunts and uncles Monte and Melissa Bonagofsky, Loni Smith, Cheri and Greg Lewis, and Tracy Jacobson, cousins Tasha and Joshua Bonagofsky, Jason and Claire, Ben, and Zane Smith, Josh and Miah Lewis, her long-time partner, Adam Amato and their dog, Juno, and the Dave Amato family. A celebration of Jessica's life will be held in Centralia at the McMenamins Olympic Club on Saturday, January 14, beginning at 6 PM. Memorial contributions can be made on Jessica's behalf to Friends of the Children in Portland (http://www.friendsofthechildren.org/portland/), Pope's Kids Place (http://www.popeskidsplace.org/) in Lewis County, or Friends of the Lewis County Animal Shelter (http://www.folcas.org/).
