Not sure what to say?

My sister and I would come home to Axis those summers now so long ago. We would happily reconnect with Fred, play music, go to the creek and always be so warmly welcomed by his beautiful mother. Mrs. Baldwin (we did not call a friend's mothers by her first names then) is forever etched in my memory as this shinning woman of
summer whose radiant smile and melodious voice reached out in kindness to us. May her memory always be a blessing

The kind of people like my Grandmother are few and far between; the old style of southern manners and grace. I never saw her get mad. I never heard her say a mean word about anybody. The thing I remember most is her egg custered pies. They were the best. I always ment to get her recipe, but never did. I guess that is just the way it goes.

I loved going by and visting with Jessie. During some of my turbulent times, she was a source of strength and laughter. Obviously, she was the closest thing to my grandmother (who was the love of my life). Jessie was the first person to babysit my oldest child and the only person who could calm down my colicky youngest son. I will you miss, and by the way, I had a fold-over sandwich today in your honor.

Your great niece,
Michele

We will miss you Grandma, Love You!

Grandma Jessie I will always love and miss you! One of my favorite memories of my Grandma is spending the night with her and when she would let me play "dress up" and wear her high heel shoes, jewelry and fancy hats. She loved life and her family.

May you find comfort in your fond memories. It was nice to have met her.

Mary-Frances and Grandma

Grandmother Baldwin was such a true lady.
She always had the most interesting stories to tell. I could sit and listen for hours, her memory astounded me. She could very easily recount stories and memories from 60 years ago.
She always dressed her best and looked so beautiful. She had a big heart and loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren so much. She also had a great sense of humor and every now and then would say something that would take me by complete surprise...
