Not sure what to say?

Miss you Jessie.

Jessie was my supervisor and friend at the Welfare Department. When she got her little sports car we drove to work every day from Coronado. She was a wonderful mentor and friend.

I was saddened to read of Jessie's recent death. She was an inspiration to me as a young social worker in the early 1970's. She chaired an interagency advisory board on which we both served. I so appreciated her commitment to people with developmental disabilities and tenacity in getting things done!

Jessie was my second supervisor when I was a junior socialworker down at the Dance Hall on Pacific Highway. What a wonderful person! She came out into the field with me to coach my social work skills and gave me support and feedback which I hadn't received very much before. Her fun personality and positive outlook was very much appreciated. She's an unforgettable personality in my life. Judy Piper, DSS adult services, retired.

I was very sad to read of Jessie's death. I worked with her at Social Services for many years. She was very active in our social club "Decaders" and she will be greatly missed. God Bless you Jessie. Vonnie Schmitten,Payroll/Personnel

Our family had the great pleasure of having been condo neighbors in Mission Beach with Jessie for 15 + years. She "adopted" our sons when they were in town. In her last years she liked to remind me of how much she enjoyed watching the boys grow up. Our "floor" is a lot quieter with Jessie gone, but we will always remember her.

I had the honor and pleasure to work with Jessie as the "second generation" after she had worked many years with my mother, Lee Loveall. She was a huge inspiration and mentor to my mother in the 70's and 80's. I will always remember her smile, her many, many interests, and how she would drive around in that convertible of hers. She leaves many memories in people's hearts.

Dear Jessie, You will be greatly missed by all of us who knew you. Your Zonta sisters remember all of the projects that you helped us develop and all of the money that you helped us raise in our cause to help women throughout the world. All of your generosity with your time, money and friends was and always will be highlights to us. May you do your heavenly travels in peace knowing that
We loved you very much.....Beth
