Betty, what a beautiful tribute to a wonderful lady! We were so fortunate to have your family become our neighbors some 50 years ago. Your and your Mom´s thoughtfulness will never be forgotten. I was never privileged to meet Jessie Harry, but through her daughter Betty she touched my life and the lives of many others for good.

Jessie was a wonderful, supportive person. We feel honored to have gotten to know her through Betty. Our thoughts and prayers are will the family.

Jessie's passing brings back a wonderful memory from my childhood in the 1950/60's living just over a block from Lombard Food Center on Campbell Ave. Cannot count the hundreds of times going to the store, either on errands for my parents, or better, using whatever pocket change I had to select from the penny candy assortment behind the cashier. We all felt an unspoken bond with the family.
