This was a very special teacher to me. She told me she taught my mom and my dad so she expected great things from me. I always remembered that. She was a wonderful lady.

I am sending thoughts and prayers for her family and friends. Like many, I had Mrs. Tyus as a 5th grade teacher. She was a classy and sassy lady. She was one of my absolutely favorite teachers. She was well known and loved lady.

Mrs. Tyus was my first teacher when I moved to Jemison from Birmingham in the 5th grade. She made the transition and welcome to my first public school a smooth and blessed one. She was so kind, elegant and a wonderful teacher and role model. May she rest in God´s hand as His good faithful servant.
