JESUS VILLANUEVA PORTAGE, IN Jesus Villanueva, age 63, of Portage, passed away Friday, April 29, 2011 at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Jesus had been a longtime Northwest Indiana resident and member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He was employed at ESR Environmental Services. Jesus was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother. Family meant everything to him. Jesus is survived by his wife, Cathy; son, Michael (Kristen) Villanueva of Chesterton; daughter, Anna Villanueva of Portage; granddaughter, Isabel Villanueva; five brothers: Manuel (Connie) Villanueva of Portage, Antonio and Roberto Villanueva, both of Mexico, Jose (Guadalupe) Villanueva and Miguel (Guadalupe) Villanueva, all of Milwaukee, WI; two sisters: Rosa (Jesus) Cerda of Mexico and Dolores (Camarino) Cerda of Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 5, 2011 beginning with 9:30 a.m. prayers at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station and then proceeding to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Eduardo Malagon celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow the at Calvary Cemetery in Portage.
