Jewell Valentine was very influential to me in my younger days. He was a shining example of what it means to be a Christian and serve Our Lord. He was also an accomplished and knowledgeable broadcast engineer and was a major influence in my choice of career.

Jewell Valentine was a major influence on my life back in the 50's. His greatest influence, however, was his example as a Christian leader. He was a giant of the faith.

Jewell was a mentor to me in the days of my youth and an example, first of all as a Christian and servant of Our Lord. Even though my association with him was relatively short, he was a major influence on my life. Yesterday, July 27, 2020 was his birthday.

Bea, Mike, Tamara & Family,
We are very sorry for your loss. Jewel was a very special person and I have always enjoyed your whole family. I hope that We can be the examples that Jewel helped us to be by his Bible teaching. He was the very first teacher that took us from one place to another in the bible to make sure we understood how it all came together. If you didn't know the books of the bible, you did by the time he was done with you. We will be praying for you all. Marvin...

I had the honer of working with Jewel for a number of years at channel 9. He was one of the finest people I knew; Bea God be with you and your family.

What a wonderful man and an example for anyone to follow. He taught me a lot about the Bible and about life. I have missed him since he left Newell and will miss him even more now. He is finally reaping the reward that he taught about for years. My sympathy to the family whom I also love.

I have fond memories of Jewell as a fine, upstanding man and a valued engineer at Channel 9. Regrettably, because he worked out at the transmittter, I rarely saw him, except at station functions like the Christmas dinner. My sincerest sympathies go out to his wife Bea and to all members of his family.
