Not sure what to say?

I was the Choir Director at Fox Hill Central for a short time in the 80's. It gave me great comfort that no matter how difficult the music I chose, Jewel Mae would be able to play it. From the classics to gospel, she played everything with great technique and passion. I'll especially remember a piano/organ duet of "O Holy NIght" that we played together one Christmas Eve. I really had to practice to keep up with her!

To the Family of Mrs. Winn,

I was so sorry to hear about Mrs. Winn's passing. I will always remember sitting by her at the piano as she taught me to play. She had such a kind, gentle, patient spirit. Thank you for sharing her with so many people. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Family of Jewel Mae,

What a goodly heritage you have....your mother was first of all a dear Christian...a lovely lady inside and out. I count it an honor that my path crossed hers during my pilgrimage.

You are in our prayers and thoughts.

Love in Christ,

Oh, what a sweet and gentle person she was. God has truly taken one of His finest to live with Him forever. We have had the genuine privilege of knowing Jewel Mae for many years, and thank her family for sharing her with all of us. We will surely miss her beautiful smile, and gentle Spirit. God Bless and watch over all of you, as I know she will be missed so much.

I will always remember her sitting behind that organ playing her heart out or walking past the house stopping to speak with kind words and a beautiful smile to follow. She was truly a light to us all through the years . I will always remember with great appreciation and love.

I saw the article in the newspaper about Jewel Mae's death and wanted to express my deeepest sympathy. I'm Jim Clements, the son of the former pastor of Fox Hill Central United Methodist Church (Rev. James L. Clements).

Larry,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

To the family - thank you for sharing your mother, grandmother with so many for so long. Ms. Winn will be sadly missed, yet her legacy will live on at Fox Hill Central. Her style and grace are irreplaceable. We've been around music our whole life and have never heard anyone play the organ such as she did. But, it's no wonder since her dedication was shown by her 6 a.m. practice sessions on a regular basis. It was important to her that each and every note be played with perfection because...
