Not sure what to say?

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

It was such a shock to hear Jie passed away at the peak of his career and life. It was still so vivid to remember his unreserved smile and humorous words when we were preparing to go abroad in our English training, his visit with other schoolmates to our humble home (with all sleeping on the floor), and his warm reception of our first visit to Princeton. His optimism is always encouraging and infectious to everybody around, and his image will forever live in our memory and accompany us with...

Dear Lijiang,
We are shocked and saddened to hear about Jie’s pass away. It is unimaginable to think how hard this is for you and for your children. We want to let you know that you are in our thoughts, and we pray for you and your family.
We remember the last time we saw you and Jie, you were so happy together.
We will always remember Jie for his kind smile, gentle voice and manner.

Sincerely,
Xiaowei and Mike

He taught me so much. But on top of this he was great fun to be around. I still remember some of...

Dr. Jie Yang started me on my career as an academic. I did my senior thesis with him, and it turned into a masters thesis. We published a paper together. He taught me how to write a science paper. He took me to Seattle to present the work at a conference, exposing me to how science works. It changed my life. I would not be where I am today if not for Jie. He was patient and wise, and gave me a chance to flourish. More importantly, he set me up for success. I owe so much to Jie.
But...

Dear Lee (Lijiang), I'm very sorry to hear of your husbands passing. We pray you and your family get through the healing process together. We never met Jie but know you spoke very highly of him during out walks at lunch time. Please don't hesitate to reach out for anything.
God Bless you and your family!
Sincerely
Steve and JoAnne
