Not sure what to say?

Jill was my next-door neighbor when I was a child. We shared a love of animals and both longed for a collie. I can still hear her calling me as she and her newly gifted collie pup, "Duncan," raced joyfully across the yard, and off we went on our many dog adventures! Jill's enthusiasm and positivity were constant during the 70 plus years we kept in touch. She will live in my heart always.

Dearest Jill... This is so difficult. My words fail me. I cannot tell you how painful it was to hear from Bruce that you ventured on way before your time. I spoke to you last about 2 months ago or so. Even though you did not remember who I was, you were so cheery in your words, and sounded so good. This just feels like it came out of nowhere, too soon. I hate that I live so far away and certainly didn't get home often enough. It's been too many years. Heaven certainly has celebrated...

Jill was a lovely lady and a very special person and it was my privilege to be her companion in adventures in the final year of her life as she bore her challenging illness with uncommon dignity and grace.

Jill was a very special and lovely lady and it was my honor to be her companion in various adventures during the final year of her life. She bore her challenging illness with uncommon dignity and grace.

I will always remember our early morning walks through the Haverford College campus trails with our happy dogs, your "Chamois" and my "'Fido" before heading off to a busy day at our jobs. Rest in peace, Dear Jill.

May loving memories of Jill ease your loss and provide you comfort.
