Dear Julie and Mr. and Mrs. Remter. I heard the sad news from Kris Hare. I am so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. So many happy memories of visits to the Remter home, and of Jill's kind and beautiful nature.

My heart aches for the Irvines, the Remters, and the Fortins. I spent many happy times at the Remter home while in jr. high and high school as a friend of her younger sister, Julie. I knew Jill as a calm, bright, kind, lovely role model and person. So very sorry for your loss.

My heart goes out to Jill's family and loved ones for more than one reason. One, I worked at Shriners in Portland as HR Director for almost 13 years and developed such a strong respect and admiration for Jill. Quiet grace is indeed an accurate description of what I saw during in her during my years at Shriners. She consistently displayed the quiet grace typical of one whose life is centered on God, her family, and service to others.
