I always remember Jill, as a fellow parent at OES and whose children played lacrosse, as a person with amazing energy, fair play, integrity and sense of fun! That wide smile was always present. She was so accomplished in many other pursuits besides her profession. I am in awe and she is such a role model for me and others. She is very missed and her quiet grace is always present in our thoughts!

It took me a long time to be able to compose something that reflects my sorrow at Jill's passing. We knew each other in a rarefied slice of time -- my senior year of college, and Jill's sophomore year.
We spent enough time together for me to recognize her lust for life and all its adventures. She made me laugh and now I can see that she made every second count. She accomplished so much in her too-few years on this earth.
My sincere condolences to her family.

Feb 10, 2018. From a mutual P10 friend, Jo, came this news today...
An amazing life story, not a surprise. Jill was the reason I came to Eugene for the first time all those years ago. We had some wonderful and happy times I've always held and remembered fondly. Taken too soon. Rest easy Jill.

I was more of an acquaintance as I'd met Jill only a couple times. When my brother Ken told me she had passed, I was so shocked and saddened. She was so engaged in living...and when I see her picture here, it's hard to believe that lively spirit is no longer with us. She was kind and gentle in my brief experiences sharing time/hikes with her. I send condolences to her family.

To Jill's wonderful family,
I found out only today about her illness and recent death and I am so saddened and shocked. I feel badly I didn't know sooner so I could and would have contacted her and reached out some how. I saw her at an ARCS event only a few months ago and was amazed and so in awe of how much time and energy she gives of herself to so many worthy causes. I can barely comprehend what a loss Jills death is for everyone whose lives she circled and whose memories and actions...

Jill, Wilf and I, along with and Megan, Meredith, and Jocelyn, learned so much from you and your family about a positive, can-do, attitude, and sailing, and un amour de la vie et de la famille. Our memories of our families' "adventures" are priceless. 'til we meet again.

I never had the privilege of meeting Jill, but it's abundantly clear what a bright, inquisitive and determined spirit she was in the many ways her influence shines through her wonderful daughter, my friend MJ. Sending so much love to her, and to the rest of Jill's family, in this heartbreaking time.
