Jill Susanne (Stahl) Power, 50 years old of Bad Axe, passed away peacefully at her home with her family beside her, after a long battle of cancer.
Jill was born on July 22, 1975 to Thomas and Susanne (Mousseau) Stahl in Detroit, Michigan.
Jill had a Master’s Degree and was a social worker and therapist for the VA. Jill started a Sorority at Saginaw Valley, and graduated from Wayne State University. Jill brought much joy, laughter and warmth to all who knew her. She had a special gift for making people feel loved and welcomed. Her beautiful smile could brighten any room. She especially loved music and singing with her sisters in harmony. She also loved shopping, baking and traveling.
Her faith was important to her and also spending time with her family. Her happiest moments were spent with her family floating in the pool, playing cards and (cheating) with her sisters, sitting around campfires and creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Jill is survived by her parents Tom and Sue Stahl of Bad Axe, her loving and devoted husband Chadi Aktaa; sons Matthew Harman, Samuel Power; sisters Melissa Stahl of Harbor Beach, and Laura Turner of Grand Haven. She was an aunt to Alex and Kayla Stahl, Nick (Emily) Turner, Joshua Turner (fiance` Craig Holly) and many, many cousins.
Jill also leaves behind to reflect on all of the memories together, her best friend of 32 years, Vicki Abraham whom she met in college and remained a close bond with, and also Tiffaney Hunt Rice.
Jill’s devotion to her work with the Veterans was top notch as she loved and cared for each and every one of them. She will be missed for her work and commitment to the VA.
A Christian Mass of burial will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., at St. Hubert Parish/ Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe, with Fr. Yesu Mulakaleti officiating. A private burial will take place.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
The family would like to thank the many family and community friends for the outpouring of love, prayers and support during this difficult time. Your kindness will always be cherished and remembered. They would also like to acknowledge and thank the non-profit organization Wings of Mercy for providing airfare to Jill for her travel to Cleveland Clinic for her cancer treatments.
Memorials may be offered in remembrance of Jill to a scholarship fund for her sons, in care of Tom and Sue Stahl.
Condolences may be shared with the family at www.macalpinefuneralhome.com

Jill was instrumental explaining how we ( American Legion Auxiliary of Harbor Beach) could help our local veterans. She took time to come to a meeting and explain how we could help. To this day we follow her advise and make a yearly donation to Veteran Affairs of Bad Axe.
What a special person she was. May she rest in peace.
