I miss him everyday! We had so many laughs and so much fun. His humor was a gift he gave me when I was down and sometimes overwhelmed . I remember a cruise we went on to Belize, neither of us were feeling our best and we turned on the TV. There happened to be an episode of Law and Order that neither of us had heard of. Anyway, we started watching and wound up never leaving the cabin that day. We binge watched 6 episodes and Jim kept calling room service and ordered french fries, chocolate...

It´s January 2023 and I still miss him. One day we were telling stories and we were talking about the great food we got from our relatives on the farm. Especially the cobblers. One day, I got a letter in the mail from Jim and it was leaking red juice. He sent me a piece of cherry cobbler to show me that his family could make a better cobbler than mine. I was so surprised that the post Office handled it. I laughed so hard.

I met Jim Allen in 1974 in Carpinteria California.
He was going to Brooks School of Photograph in Santa Barbara.
I was managing a tennis store and Jim came in to get a racket strung.
For 2 years, he played tennis with just about everyone in Carpinteria.
He was so outgoing and and everyone enjoyed his company.
