Not sure what to say?

Bert was family to me when I was growing up. What a great man. Always happy. Always friendly. Always that guy I looked forward to seeing at church or at our home. I will always be thankful for the true friend that he was to my Mom and Dad. When my Dad passed, he and Barbara were some of the first ones to visit and pray with us. He will be so missed but he's home now and that makes me smile. Love to the family. Prayers for your peace and comfort during this time.

Bert was an honorable man in every way and taught his children to strive to be the same way. We hope that they can find peace in knowing that he is in a better place and will be reunited again in the future.

Bert was an honorable man that taught his children the right way to live and they are doing just that! He was very proud of them and I hope they find peace in knowing that he is in a better place for sure.

Young Bert

I've known Bert for most of my life. He was always fun to be around, and could tell the best stories. He told the story at my daddy's funeral, Jimmy Payne, of how patient Daddy was in teaching him to drive on the dirt, back roads around Texola. He was such a handsome man all his life. I think all of Barbara's girl cousins had a crush on Bert. May the family and friends be comforted by the great memories that they have.
