Jim I want you to know that you’re football tradition at Syracuse when you were playing with Cleveland convince me to play football never made it past the small college it doesn’t matter but I think what I’m saying can be said for a lot of guys. You are great influence and if they had lacrosse professionals, you would be great

Jim Brown's illustrious career was before my time. My father always said the two greatest running backs he ever saw were Gayle Sayers and Jim Brown. Legends that will be missed. On behalf of my late father, thank you Mr. Brown. Hugh E. Loeser.

I played high school football at Strongsville in the mid 1960's, and I KNOW that Jim was an inspiration to many of us when we put on the pads for our games on Friday nights. But even more important was the example that he set, through his courageous leadership during the Civil Rights movement, and during which time that he was still an active player. My condolences to Monique and the family. Jim & I were classmates from 7th through 12th grade and teamates in all sports. We played together on his record breaking football and basketball teams and my record breaking baseball team in the 50ties.
