Lucy, I just received news of JIMBO´s passing. It is my misfortune that I failed to visit these past few years. You know how much he meant to me. As teenagers, we, along with Roger, were almost inseparable. In later life our reunions reflected the comradery we so enjoyed as kids. Please know pleasant thoughts of both of you entered my mind frequently over the years. May my old buddy rest in peace and you and your family learn to live without this beloved man! Jimmy Van Fleit

"JC" was a dear and close friend from college days and thereafter even though we were members of different fraternities at UGA. Years passed recently when I did not hear from him and I didn't know he was ill........The notice of his passing was devastating and I only wish I could have said goodbye.....I send deepest and most sincere condolences to Lucy and all of Jim's other family members and friends...He was the most likeable of men I ever knew and had so many friends and had so much fun...
