Not sure what to say?

I met Dr. Edwards when I was twelve years old in 1972, as he tended to my first horse. Later he was the only Vet I would have chosen for Ferada, my endurance horse and best friend. He also tended to the horses at Meadow Brook Ranch. No one ever wants a sick animal but when Dr. Edwards showed up it was always a joy. He had the best personality. He was an expert at keeping the owners calm under any circumstance. Truly and outstanding being and Vet. Warm wishes to his loved...

I just found out about Dr. Edwards passing...he was a great vet and a wonderful human being! He helped saved one of my foals while he was being born...I will never forget how calm but quick he was in getting there to help. You will be missed!

I was ready to drive from Reno to Chico to attend Jim's service. However, the weather forecast say there will be a problem with snow in the mountains. I did drive down for Don Murphy's service in November and just made it home on Hwy. 70, leaving directly after the service and skipping the after service reception. Don't want to do that one again.

I went to both of Jims parents services, missed brother George's and now must miss that fine young fellow's, Jim Edwards, service. I always...

I remember Jim coming to help patch up my horses a few times back in the 1980s when I lived in Chico. Really appreciated his great work. The community will miss him.

I will never forget Jim came to our home at three in the morning. Our horse had both legs caught in a gate. Two hours later with the help of Jim and neighbors our horse was up and standing. We were so relieved. Jim said you need a swig on of whiskey for your nerves! I took a gulp and laughed. What a wonderful person and veterinary. You will be missed with many stories people can share.

I last saw Jim about 3 years ago at a Comanche BBQ. He was the same Jim Edwards I knew when we were in Durham High together. Actually I was in his brother George's class but Jim was always participating in the activities of the school with us. I had a great deal of admiration for Jim with his accomplishments in raising a fine family and being at the top of his work as a veterinarian. My prayers go out to Carolyn and his family for a peaceful transition of being without Jim.

Best...

My family loved and appreciated Jim. He was truly an awesome man.

Jim lived only a mile from where I grew up and was a part of DHS 1963. His Dad was the principal of DHS when I went there and was a wonderful man. He and Imogene were close friends with my parents, Harvey and Madeline Wilson. Jim's reputation as a fine vet preceeded him. He tended to some of our animals over the years at Ever's. My condolences to his entire family.
