Jim EllisAug. 11, 1935 - Sept. 22, 2022 On Sept. 22, 2022, we lost a good, good man. Jim Ellis died at home surrounded by his family and friends. Not sure what to say?

I remember my cousin Jim from many years ago , his father Cyd, mother Helen, grandfather Clifford Ellis and his wife Minnie. Being 84 myself I remember Jack and his twin brother and great uncle cliff taking a street car and went to watch the Portland Beavers play baseball at Vaughn Street stadium. Jim and Jack were lots of fun and hey had Mary and Patty for sisters, also their late brother Clifford. I am very proud of all my cousins, outgoing, friendly up beat people. Great Uncle Cliff...

40 years ago Mary and I lived a few houses away from Jim and Jody and the girls for five years. We played hoops at the park, our boy Sam played with Sara, and Britt would babysit sometimes. They, along with Scruffy, were something close to the perfect neighbors. I'd run into Jim every few years, and it was like talking to someone I'd seen the day before. Just a chronically great guy.

Uncle Jim was always fun to be around. I still remember spending time at their house with my cousins. Eating blueberry muffins and having fun with their dog scruffy who Uncle Jim rescued one rainy night. You will be sorely missed

Great guy! A friend and classmate at Cleveland Hi, class of 54. Jim was a faithful attendee of our monthly geezer luncheons until Covid came along. He will be missed.

I love you so much!!! I´ll see you again we´ll play ball!!!

This is a biggie. It was such an honor and a joy to have Jim as one of my uncles. It gives me pause to know that this man was kind and generous and had a huge heart. His idealism never wavered. So many good memories often attached to coffee and other friends. I miss our unofficial, casual colloquiums at various Hawthorne locations.

Jim and I met in the 7 th grade at Duniway and retained a deep friendship, with many memorable times. He was a a true renaissance man! He will be missed and remembered by many! Love ya kid!! Dick Hannah
