Jim was a valued friend to so many of in Benson High School´s class of 1973. I was lucky enough not only to meet him in high school but also to get together with him and meet some of his family in those seemingly rare moments when he wasn´t traveling the world. He had a big, generous personality that was never hidden and could not be ignored. But he was also very intelligent and thoughtful. A rare combination of wonderful traits. He is missed.

Our hearts are heavy with sorrow learning about Jeem. We loved his laid back personality and his adventurous side. The couple of times we got to join your family in the outdoors were always a great time. His love for all of you - his family and of life were always evident. We will greatly miss him. Happy trails to Jeem Joe and Jansy

Jim was a friend of mine at the University of Nebraska. He had such a spark of personality, and was an absolute blast to be around. I just saw his obituary in the World Herald. I´ve gotta believe that he squeezed every ounce out of his life. Sad to see that he´s not with us anymore.
