Mr. Jim Hammett

Hammett, Jim – age 71, of Knoxville passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family Wednesday, May 22, 2013. He was a member of First Baptist Church Concord and the Antique Automobile Club of America. Jim loved his family, working on old cars, and Alabama Football. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mildred Hammett. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Dean Boyles Hammett; sons, Brian Hammett (Abbie) of Franklin, TN, Kevin Hammett (Diana) of Knoxville, TN and Cory Hammett (Courtney) of Dandridge, TN; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Madison, Carter, Claire, Harrison, Davis, Ansley, Lila, Judson, Maeve; and many other "ems". A celebration of Jim's life will be held 7 pm Friday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel with his brother in law Rev. Larry Boyles officiating. Graveside services Saturday 12 noon CST at Oxford Memorial Gardens in Oxford, AL. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 -7 at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.
