Millie and Homan Family, Jim's service today was such an uplifting event, and chronicled precisely the legacy you and he have left to family and friends of your life together. Jim was my mentor and gave me a career. But Jim was much more than that to me and others. He taught me as much about life as he did appraisal. Jim always had time for those that were struggling and his heart was an open book. A great sense of humor and smile that put all at ease. We all will miss you Jim...you made the world a much better place for so many!

Jim was one of the founding partners at Burke Hansen and Homan when I started there in 1986. I left the firm 3.5 years later, and eventually moved to Las Vegas in 1991. In roughly 1993, Jim was in town and sought me out in Las Vegas and took me to lunch. He said he wanted to write off the expense so he made it a business lunch. We didn't talk much business, but had a good visit. I suspect he didn't need the write-off, but wanted to keep in touch with some of us younger professionals that...

Always a smile and many stories to share. We will miss his gift of friendship.
