Dr. Jim Hussey

A patient for 20+ years! He recommended I go To MD Anderson 3 years ago...they saved my life with advanced treatments. The last time I saw him for a physical back in Sept. 25 he asked if he could hug me and I agreed, he whispered to me how glad he was that MD Anderson was able to help me. Now, I know why. I will dearly miss him. I always enjoyed our conversations and trusted him with my life. God Bless and my sincere condolences to the Family.

Praying comfort, peace, and rest for your family! Dr Hussey saved my life in 7th grade, Sept 1993. I was so sick sick and my mom took me to him. When Dr Hussey saw me and heard my lungs he told my mom to take me to Children's) and I underwent immediate chest tube surgery for pneumonia. I was in the hospital for two weeks and had 2 chest tube surgeries. One lung was completely filled and was leaking, the other was nearly full. I'm so sorry for the loss of Dr Jim Hussey. He was a wonderful, kind and funny doctor and friend. He had been my doctor and friend for 34 years. I was so sad to lose him as my Doctor last year . I grew up with Jimmy. He is my dear friend Janet´s "little brother" so many wonderful family memories. His mom and dads home was always open to all of us. I was always so proud of him being a doctor. I'm sure he was a great one. Prayers for family´s grief but rejoicing for Jimmy. What a heavenly reunion.

I'm so sorry to hear about Dr. Hussey's passing. I was a patient of his for more than 40 years and valued not only his medical knowledge but also the manner in which he treated his patients. He made going to the doctor as pleasant as possible! While I never met his wife Judy nor his daughter Jennifer, I felt like I had gotten to know them over the years as he proudly spoke about each of them. I'll greatly miss Dr. Hussey and pass on my condolences to his family.
