Jim Layne passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada. The obituary was featured in Las Vegas Review-Journal on August 1, 2011.
I only knew Jimmy at school. Gosh he was so cute and nice I too had a crush on him. If we had the internet 40 years ago etc. I would have gone to visit with him. Dear Mrs. Layne, Bruce and family...My heartfelt condolences to you. Jim was quite a guy....gifted in many areas. I, among a myriad of girls in high school, had, at some time, a mad crush on him. He obviously gave of his time aned talents throughout life. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
