I met Jim at the 'Wings Over Coshocton Airshow' years back when attending the pre show safety briefing as the Fire Rescue Incident Commander. It was hard to miss the reverence given to him by those in the room who knew this man. Jim had a smile on his face that lit the room and cut through the seriousness yet his words held the most weight in confirming all components of the show were tick tock. Jim flew in the Watertown SD "Airshow 2000" in his Chipmunk. He did a somersault in mid air which was truly amazing. I will alsways remember him for his professional approach to aviation. May he rest in peace and look over us from above!

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with and knowing Jim at Delta Airlines ( Northwest Airlines ) for years. We will miss his enthusiasm, smile, and genuineness. He made everyone he met feel special. We will miss him.

Jim and I flew out of Watertown,Wisconsin Airport and he was such an inspiration to me when I was getting my VFR license. He always had words of encouragement and he was so happy all the time. He was truly passionate about flying and followed his dreams...he will be dearly missed by all.
