My sympathy to all the Maddox Family. Jim Maddox was a public servant for all the people, not just the few .
Thanks Jim and rest in Peace

As a college student on a Washington semester in 1978 I was an intern in Jim Mattox's office. I went in distrustful of authority (a product of my times!), but came out knowing the "People's Lawyer" was the real deal. The university where I now work has a motto: "The measure of a life is its service." In that respect, Jim was a giant among men.

Gold Bless Jim Mattax, cause he sure blessed us . . .

My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Mr. Mattox helped me many years ago and I never will forget how kind he was. May God's presence be with your family.

To the Maddox Family,
Jim, along with others, brought us all along and gave hope back to Texas for many years. He will be remembered, fondly by most, and appreciated by us late entries into the family politic.
