I loved to watch Jim Mitchell play football. Every time he stepped on the field he gave it his all. He was a leader on the field and was respected by his coaches, his teammates, those he played against and by the fans.RIP Jim Mitchell.

Tennessee as Jim was known at PV always demonstrated good character along with a strong desire to excel in life. He was my friend. May God Bless and Keep his family is my prayer. Hosea Henderson

I'm sorry to hear about a lost, I would like to share a scripture with the family to bring comfort at John11:25(Jesus said that I am the resurrection and the life he that exercises faith in me, even though he dies will come to life)

Jim used to get softball trophies from us at AAA Trophies in Decatur and we never met a nicer person, a pleasure to know. He never acted like a star athlete, just a polite, friendly man. I remember he could pound a softball with incredible power when I went out to see him play. When he came to the plate, everyone noticed. Of course, I enjoyed watching him play for the Falcons earlier. I was saddened to know his health was declining in recent years. My sympathy to the family. The world needs...
