Not sure what to say?

I just saw the "In Memoriam" about Jim's passing last year. I was out of the country and didn't know of your loss. My daughter learned to love horses nearly 25 years ago riding bareback thanks to Jim. She was always in awe of the cowboy Indian teacher who was so smart and kind. She has never stopped loving horses and Jim even though she has been far away in France. He will always be in our hearts. Cecilia Kennedy, Arlington, VA (mother of Sabine Larmande) Paris, France.

Helen,
When I was told recently of Jim's passing, I was indeed saddened. Jim and I attended St. Paul's College for one year. However, I met Jim when he was a freshman and was Freddie Blue's roommate. I haven't seen Jim a lot over the years, but I will always remember how glad we were to see each other at Homecoming. Jim grew from a shy freshman into a confident senior. He was always warm and friendly to all around him. He developed a great sense of humor and kept us laughing. I am happy...

My fondest memories of childhood were at Shadybrook. Riding that original bunch of horses...Apples, Apache, Skippy, Marty, Midnight, Prince, Blackjack, etc. Riding bareback to keep warm in the freezing weather...
I just loved that place and especially Jim. He made everyone feel special. I remember the sign above the door to the office which said "Mr Moss the boss, the greatest guy I've come across."
So true...rest in peace, Jim.

Cousin Jim like ourselves was given a temporary assignment here on earth, which he fulfilled. Death was not his termination, it was his transition to eternity. For you see, he had a spiritual green-card to return to his homeland. Heaven.

Cousin Jim touch the lives with so many youths in the state of Virginia. He served as a mentor for this generation and will always be remembered for his kindness and generosity.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

My tie to Jim Moss was through our mutual love of horses. I am a trainer based in Great Falls and over the years our paths crossed many times. Jim was always supportive not only to his students but to all at the shows. I always enjoyed his friendly handshake, his kind smile and the twinkle in his eye.

TO JEAN MOSS BECK AND THE ENTIRE MOSS FAMILY...

IN YOUR SORROW, MAY EACH KINDNESS, EACH WORD, EACH MEMORY BE A GENTLE COMFORT. IN YOUR SORROW, MAY THERE BE PEACE... WITH LOVE, CAROLYN ROBERTS GILL AND FAMILY

Jim, thank you for shaping my life for six years. You were the first person to put on me on a horse, but you taught me much more than that. Shadybrook is a place that I will always keep close in my heart. You will be missed very much.
