Not sure what to say?

James Burt. Salina ks67401will be missed by many of us in tv land

Still remembered after these many years. Working with Jim during my time as a clown at the studios during the Jerry Lewis MDA telethons and the St Pats. parade I named my Duck Jimmy Donald. He was the star of my magic act at the institute of logopedis annual Christmas show.

Miss him forever.

A truly professional and touching individual, Jim O'Odonnell was a pioneer in severe storm detection and a calming, yet firm TV warning advisor.

I remember growing up in Kansas and watching Herr O'Donnell do what he did best... such a calming presence he had, one that I will miss.

At least we'll have YouTube for the memories. Rest in peace, Jim. You've earned it.

My condolences to the O'Donnell family. I have since moved to Ohio, but I did the morning show on KKRD 107.3 in the 90's and weekend sports for KAKE-TV on occasion. Dancin' Don Hall and I broadcast live from our annual St. Patricks Day Breakfast. Jim never failed to show up in his green Tux and do the weather on air for us. I grew up watching Jim and got a chance to work with him. What a great person and what a legacy he has.

I worked on the MD Telethon with Jim as well as Gene Rump, Jim Erickson and Mogie Langston. I also worked with Jim on the MD Association Board and I have to say he will be greatly missed. Jim was a kind man with endless compoassion. Those of us who knew him, even slightly, were enriched by his humor and are better people for having kinown him.

We will always remember Jim and his sweet wife, Marilan as generous people with a love of community. They worked every telethon that we were part of (28 or so) and had the Executive MDA meetings in there home on many occasions. We were blessed to be their friends and will miss Jim. Much love to you, Marilan, and to your family.
