PEARTHREE On November 30th, Jim Pearthree (1956-2003) took one final leap into the unknown when he lost a valiant battle with melanoma, the most deadly of skin cancers. A former paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army, Jim spent a lifetime jumping into greater and...

Not sure what to say?

Wow, Jim Pearthree was my divorce attorney in 1999. I moved away from Florida and today I googled his name to contact him about another matter, so sorry to hear of his passing. My sincere condolences to his family. He was a great attorney.

Happy Birthday to my best friend!

Sorry for your loss. I served with Jamie on the student council at UNF. For some reason, I had been thinking about the people from that time, and decided to look him up. I was shocked to see that he had passed. He was an interesting person to know.

Jim represented me a long time ago in a case that would determine how life would be for me going forward. I didn't want to accept that he was gone. I had heard rumor of his passing but wasn't sure. He was quite the jokester in times that seemed bleak but a great lawyer and friend when you needed him most. Jim, you will certainly be missed and God bless your family!

Cheryl and family: Jim gave me the opportunity to work for one of the greatest members of Congress, Charlie Bennett -- for that reason alone I will always be grateful. But Jim was also a mentor and friend and a great supporter. He was not only a great friend to all he knew, he was also a great friend to his country.

My goodness, we didn't know this had happened. We've been out of the loop since our mother died in 1991.
We are so sorry to hear this news, and extend our most sincere sympathies to the Pearthree family. It sounds like Stevie grew up to be a wonderful person.

To The Pearthree Family,

Unknown to me, Jim Pearthree represented my ex-husband during our 2002 divorce, which is actually set for retrial (thru no fault of Mr. Pearthree) this Monday 2009. I just thought you all should know how well thought of he is within the legal community...still, so many years later. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Dear Family, I just was looking for Jim online and came across the unfortunate news of his passing. I knew your father in the 82nd, I was one of his troops at Fort Bragg, and he was my favorite officer (and my platoon leader A 3/4 ADA). He was an inspiration to me personally. Your Dad was the first person to really give me an opportunity to improve myself. Due to his influence, after leaving the army, I did go on to receive a BA and a JD from Gonzaga University in my home town. I think...

We recently moved back east again, and I have been in contact with many old pals from back home in Dover. I lost this web site when I got a new computer, but good ole John Kozel put me back in touch with this guest book. I am so happy to see that it is still running and that people are still keeping Steve/Jim's memories alive by continuing to write in it. It just goes to prove what a great guy he was. As we near the anniversary date of his passing, I always say a prayer that his family and...
