Coach Reynolds and the Crete-Monee Basketball team of 1984-1985.

Hello to all! That is "Coach" kneeling in front of the 1984-1985 Crete-Monee basketball team.

Saddened tremendously by the news of Coach Reynolds passing. Totally caught off guard. Unfortunately for me, the news came just days ago, as a friend was doing a google search, as we had planned to reach out to him. We were so blessed to have Jim stop by for a surprise visit just a few weeks ago. He looked and felt great and was so proud of Sue and his girls. We made plans for a boat trip on the Gulf and talked about golf and our basketball memories from the early 80s at Sandburg. Jim was a good friend and an even better person. It is just so sad. Sue - let us know if we can be of help in Florida. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I have many good memories of Jim during his Galesburg High School days and especially at Carl Sandburg. Many evenings were spent driving around town in his car, playing cards in Marion's basement or just hanging with the "guys". Jim was known as "Stick" during that time due to being so tall and thin.
