My condolences to the Seymours. I know he gave you all tremendous joy as he did me from year one at ND. Tom "the stripper" Allen class of 1970.

Dear Nancy, Jim, Jeff and Todd,
I am still so sorry that Our Lord has called Jim home to be with Him. I know that he is in a better place and is no longer suffering but it is still hard to lose one of the best friends that I ever had. He was so humble and such a fun loving person; he had a special ability to make everyone feel welcomed and like he was waiting all day just for them to arrive. He definitely made this world a much better place. When I thank Our Lord in my daily prayers for...

In 1964 Jim took on the part of LBJ and I, Barry Goldwater. He was a very tough debator. I also have happy memories of him at home for the holidays at The Coral Gables in Berkley.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jim when we inducted him into the Shrine Hall of Fame a few years back. I was so impressed by his easy going manner and warm spirit. I only wish I had the opportunity to get to know him further. He will certainly be missed. I am so sorry for your loss. Your family will continue to be in my prayers. God bless!

Dear Nancy, I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I am pleased to have met him this summer. He was a lovely man. I'm thinking of you and I will light a candle for Jim. Christi Ritter (SMA)

My best friend in Syracuse N.Y. died and was a Seymour too. Evelyn Seymour was Harolds' mother and she died too. I don't know if they're related, but it's possibile down the lineage somewhere they are. I'm saddened by your loss anyway. I watch the Regis show on TV regularly and he always shouts for ND.

Dear Nancy, all the children and grandchildren,
My deepest condolences to a dear friend on the passing of your beloved husband. My thoughts and prayers are with you from afar.
Love, Lois Schwartz

Jim's passing is truly sad news for all ND fans. As a neighbor of Jim and Chuck's on second floor Keenan Hall in 1965-66, I rooted for their success on the football field and watched in admiration when the 1966 team won the National Championship and Jim landed on the cover of Time. Great memories--particularly beating USC 51-0! Thanks to Jim for all those great plays and games. My sympathy and prayers for his family in their time of loss. Bill McCully, ND '69, '70, '73
