Jim Chester Shanks

Jim was always a great cousin. Oldest of the dozens of "Hevalow" cousins he will be missed. His leadership and care for younger family members will always be remembered. His love for his wife set a wonderful example to all. His care for his parents, and particularly Uncle Jim after Aunt Nina's death was an exercise in devotion. His love and dedication to his only son was evident to everyone. His life was lived to the fullest and his exuberant personality lifted all those around him. ...

I will always remember how friendly and kind Jim was in HS where I knew him. I send my love to Barbara.

I knew Jim for the past 66 years. Jim was what you would call a truly good guy and a great friend. Jim never met a stranger and he would talk your ear off. Jim will be missed by so many family and friends to numerous to count. I know he is play golf in Heaven and swapping stories with anyone who will listen. Rest in peace Jim and I´ll see you on the other side.
