What a lovely obit. I knew Jim in college through my roommate Flo and spent a lot of time hanging out in the dorms. He was always thoughtful, friendly and good company. Although we did not stay in touch your description of him as a grown successful family man was just as I would have imagined he would be. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends. He will certainly be missed.

I have just learned of the passing of Jim. I worked with Jim for close to a decade at OpenText and he was such an amazing friend, colleague and mentor. Jim never hesitated to help me when I was new to the company and always stayed in touch over the years and I always enjoyed chatting with him. His positive attitude, honesty and sense of humour were such a breath of fresh air. I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember Jim's huge smile and way of making everyone feel comfortable and...

My deepest sympathy on the passing of Jim. I always enjoyed my discussions with Jim, learned from him, and considered him a true business partner. Trust in business is something that is earned, and Jim definitely earned mine. He will be sorely missed, and not easily replaced.
